1. Our commitment
POOOL is committed to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing in line with the German Anti-Money-Laundering Act (GwG) and EU regulations. We only accept investors who have been successfully identified, and we monitor transactions on an ongoing basis.
2. Identity verification (KYC)
Before your first investment we verify your identity with a government-issued ID document through our verification partner (Platzhalter — name the provider). We may ask for additional documents, e.g. proof of address or source of funds, where the law requires enhanced due diligence.
3. Screening and monitoring
All investors are screened against sanctions lists and for politically exposed person (PEP) status, both at onboarding and periodically thereafter. We monitor transactions for unusual patterns and may pause transactions or request clarification while a review is ongoing.
4. Record keeping and reporting
We keep identification and transaction records for the statutory periods (generally five years, up to ten where required) and report suspicious activity to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as required by law. We are not permitted to inform you about such a report.
5. Your obligations
You must invest in your own name and with funds from legitimate sources, keep your verification data up to date, and answer our compliance questions truthfully. Accounts that cannot be verified, or that breach this policy, may be restricted or closed and funds returned to the originating account.
6. How verification data is handled
Verification data is processed under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation). Details on storage, recipients and your rights are in the Privacy Policy.
